UP, DOWN, OR SIDEWAYS?
Clearly certain areas of the North Vancouver market have performed well over the first 5 months of the year. Canyon Heights and Capilano Highlands have seen lot values move up over 20% so far this year as builders are searching for land to build on. Certain areas of Upper Lonsdale have also seen the builders move in. On the other hand, owners trying to sell their apartments have found it very tough as we currently have no fewer than 12 new projects competing for the apartment buyer.
As the inventory levels of homes available to buy continue to increase, we are seeing that the buyers once again are starting to take their time making buying decisions. Prices, however, are remaining stable.
